WINDSOR Ladies were dealt a devastating late blow as they lost 1-0 at home to Marlow 3rds in their Trysports Three Counties League Division One clash.

The visitors were awarded a penalty corner on the final whistle and circled the D with 10 players, eventually netting to break Windsor hearts.

Both sides had earlier created chances and tested the keepers, but despite some incisive runs from Freya Hayter and Laura Weaver, Windsor could not find a way through the Marlow defence.

Eighth-placed Windsor visit Reading 3rds tomorrow.

Windsor 2nds left it too late for a comeback in a 4-3 loss at Reading 4ths in Division Four.

The visitors went 3-0 down in the first half as a well-organised and lively Reading team caused problems from push back.

But Camilla Selby opened her account for Windsor with a goal before half time which settled nerves and boosted confidence.

And Windsor came back brilliantly in the second half as a terrific pass from midfielder Debbie Campbell found Ann-Marie Moore who crossed to Paula Green.

She struck first time to take the score to 3-2, but Reading were quick to hit back to restore their two-goal advantage.

Windsor dug in and talented youngster Saskia Swannack remained calm under pressure to score and cut the gap to 4-3.

With Reading hanging on by a thread and Windsor fighting to find an equaliser, the whistle came too soon for the visitors and not soon enough for the home team.

Windsor Men threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 5-3 at home to Banbury 3rds in their MBB&O Division Three contest.

A comfortable cushion with goals from Gareth Baber and Neil MacFarlane should have put Windsor in complete control, but instead they pushed the self-destruct button to gift the game to the visitors who snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

While Billy Johnson got a third for Windsor, Banbury had inflicted too much damage for a meaningful fight-back.

Tom Boardman bagged a brace and Stuart Armstrong, Noel Britto and Christian Squire completed the scoring for the Oxfordshire side.

Windsor will look to bounce back to winning ways when they travel to bottom-of -the-table Staines 3rds tomorrow.

In Division Seven, club pride was restored by Windsor 2nds in a nail-biting 6-3 thriller at Banbury Piranhas.

Kevin Jones topped a dazzling individual performance with a brilliant hat-trick and Dave White, Drew Wilson and Johnathan Crayston were also on the scoresheet as Windsor climbed to sixth following four consecutive wins.
