TOM HEEKS believes Drifters produced their best performance this season to inflict a first defeat on Swindon College Old Boys.
“It was the best I’ve seen us play all season. The most complete performance,” he told the Observer. “I’ve gone over the video four or five times and it still sends tingles down my spin.
“Credit to Swindon, they’re a very good side, but we did really well and it was our most complete performance.
“We’ve seen what the guys can do in 40-minute spells, but this was a full 80-minute performance played at the quickest pace I’ve seen all season.
“We put pressure on them when we were defending, which was excellent, and had phenomenal pace in attack. We were just incredible all round the park.
“This was not luck, we were the better team on the day in general and we’re all really pleased.
“It took until Sunday afternoon for my heart rate to drop back to normal levels.”

Rob Wills, Matt Rabiasz (who was making his 150th appearance for the club) and Callum Heppner-Logan all scored tries in the win on Saturday.
The victory keeps Drifters in second position in the table and on course for promotion this year.
Heeks commented: “For us to win the league, we would have to win all our games and Swindon would have to drop 10-15 points, and I just don’t see them doing that.
“Swindon have put big scores on all teams except for Crowthorne, so our win is good for the league and shows it’s competitive at the top.
“Slough have still got to play Swindon at home and they’re the ones that might be able to come close.
“I think Swindon will win the league and good luck to them. Fingers crossed we will both be promoted into the league above next season.”
Drifters welcome eighth in the table Chesham to One Pin Lane this Saturday (3pm).
Heeks said: “We went up there before Christmas and won. They're a pretty hard team so we've got to keep the momentum going and performances high.
“The aim for us is to win all our remaining games with bonus points, that's a big goal for us now. We're still unbeaten at home and that's something to build on for next season.
