SLOUGH Borough Council have issued a positive bulletin on the construction works at the Arbour Park Community Sports Stadium.

With the May 2017 construction completion date fast approaching, over 90 per-cent of the phase two mechanical and electrical installation has been completed.

This includes air conditioning, ventilation, security cameras, video monitoring and the fire alarm. The permanent power supply has been energised and light fittings are being installed.

The new kitchen appliances have arrived and the clubroom - with its magnificent views over the pitch and its direct access on to the first floor external terraced areas - is receiving the decorative finishing touches.

The ground floor reception area is being altered to allow for the introduction of a glazed lift providing access to the first floor, and the seating to the striking main grandstand has now been installed along with additional crush barriers to the north and south stands.

With some of the key functions being relocated within the new first floor of the grandstand, reconfiguration works are also ongoing to the ground floor, with the provision of an additional changing room and club shop.
