KYLE Owen-Bradshaw put in two excellent performances on his Snetterton debut in rounds three and four of the Maximumgroup.Net VAG Trophy.

The Slough driver overcame mechanical problems in the practice sessions before qualifying in 11th position for the first of two races at the Norfolk circuit.

Heavy rain before the race had dried up by the time Owen-Bradshaw lined up on the starting grid.

A superb start then saw him make up two places in the run to the first corner before overtaking another opponent around the outside.

However, he then eased off slightly to preserve the life in his tyres for the second race and finishing in ninth place.

Despite an early wheelspin, Owen-Bradshaw made another excellent start to the second race, moving quickly from ninth to seventh before the first corner.

He gained another couple of positions after two cars collided in front of him, but he then suffered understeer issues which affected his cornering.

With is tyres now worn and dirty, he was forced to defend his eighth place from there and did so with great skill.

Owen-Bradshaw’s first outing at Snetterton also proved an improvement on his ninth and 11-place finishes at Rockingham.

And he is now hoping to build on an impressive start to the series when he competes in the next round at Brands Hatch in Kent on August 5.

Owen-Bradshaw, who brought his car home without so much as a scratch, said: “This shows that I can mix it with the best of them on track.”

Owen-Bradshaw also thanked his sponsors, Getac, Varoosh Sports Partnerships, Drift Innovation, Allprint Supplies, Jellyfish Designs, Dread and Team Hard Racing.
