WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) athletes grabbed six championship titles at the England Under-23/20 Championships in Bedford over the weekend.

Jacob Paul won the U23 400m hurdles in 50.07 seconds (secs) and was immediately selected for the European Championships.

Jake Norris took the U20 hammer title with a throw of 77.67m, with Bayley Campbell in the bronze medal position on 66.62m.

Ben Fisher won the U20 long jump gold with his 7.46m leap, while Teepee Princewell set a new best to take the U20 triple jump with Dan Ibokwe a close second on another personal best of 15.14m.

Morgan Lake equalled her best to win the U23 high jump with 1.94m, and Amy Holder was the U20 discus podium topper with 52.84m.

Other medallists were Tyri Donovan, third in the U20 400m hurdles with 52.84secs, Tade Ojora, third in the U20 110m hurdles in 13.90secs, and his sister, Temi Ojora, second in the U20 high jump on 1.72m.

DESPITE WSEH athletes achieving a good many personal bests, a lack of strength in depth finally told as the club finished fifth in the Youth Development League match in Eton on Sunday.

It will now take a massive change of fortune in the last match of the series in July to climb out of the relegation slot.

WSEH accrued a total of 431 points to finish behind match winners Southampton (543), with Blackheath & Bromley (542) and Havering (510) completing the podium places.
