STOKE GREEN have recorded a third consecutive win in Thames Valley League Division One after a 71-run home victory against Boyne Hill on Saturday.

Having won the toss, Stoke elected to bat first and were bowled out for 163 after 47.2 overs. Raja Babar Ishtiaq top-scored with 71, while Karanpreet Singh made 23 and Zulfi Butt 21.

Ziya Mohammed led the Boyne Hill bowling attack with his figures of 4-10, backed up by Matthew Leipold (3-37) and Chris Shave (2-23).

In response, Boyne Hill were skittled for just 92 inside 28 overs. Ali Nadeem Abbasi was the destroyer-in-chief with his seven-wicket haul (7-43) from 14 overs and the other wickets fell to Butt (3-46).

Hamid Riaz top-scored for the losing side with his 28, but only Shave (20), Warren Miller (18) and Josh Roguski (10) could also reach double figures.

The results mean Stoke Green move up one place to second in the league table, with Boyne Hill dropping to seventh place.

Stoke Green make the short journey to Cookham Dean this Saturday whilst Boyne Hill host Cove.

Stoke Green 2s remain in the two relegation spots in Division 4B following their 104-run defeat at British Airways.

Raja Ifraz Khan claimed 3-66 as British Airways set a target of 229-8, before Pavinder Bhachu made 80 as the visiting side were bowled out for 125. No other batsman was able to reach double figures.

Cookham Dean have extended their unbeaten run in Thames Valley Division One to three matches after a draw at Marlow on Saturday.

The visitors won the toss and choose to bat first, making advantage to declare with the score on 252-7 after 51 overs. Christy Green top-scored with 60, while captain Ben Millar (48) and Yash Rastogi (45) both came close to a half-century.

Paul Brzezicki was the pick of the Marlow bowlers with his figures of 3-24, backed up by Kirk Graham (2-40) and Jeremy Batty (2-95).

In reply, the home side 250-7 after 49 overs for a share of the points thanks largely to Nick Paskins (93) and Imran Nawaz (77).

Simret Mangat led the Cookham Dean bowling attack with his (3-75) while Tapiwa Mufudza also claimed three wickets (3-83).

Cookham Dean, still sixth in the league table are at home to Stoke Green on Saturday.
