SLOUGH stay top of the Middx, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Regional One following a 4-2 win at Oxford Hawks 2s on Saturday.

Rai Singh scored twice to take his tally for the season to 17 goals, while Johannes Kloss followed up his four goals the previous week with a single strike, his 14th of the campaign.

Monty Panesar completed the scoring as the Pink & Blacks recorded their eighth win in 12 games.

They remain a point clear of second-placed Marlow with a match in hand, but only five points separate them and Eastcote in sixth place. And it is they who visit Slough this Saturday, with a 10.30am pushback.

Eastcote are one of only two sides to have beaten them this season, winning 4-2 last October, but since then Slough have remained unbeaten.

Slough women continued their build-up towards the resumption of the Investec League programme on February 3 by playing a friendly with University of Birmingham. They lost 3-1, their goal coming from Kymran Shergill.

Head coach Kali Takir is running a camp for boys and girls aged eight to 17 at Upton Court Park on February 14-15 (10am to 4pm). The cost is £35 for a day and £60 for both. For more email tickhockey@yahoo.co.uk
