BERKSHIRE Under 12s and U16s are both heading for the national finals.
The U12s top the Junior County Shires League with more than 40 teams competing nationwide, while the U16s are currently in third place.
Berkshire juniors are coached by former England player Chris Tonks, with 13 squads based at three locations.
Manager, Jo Clark said “The growing success of Berkshire is due to our coaches. Chris is encouraging players to start playing younger and more often.
“We have some excellent eight-year-olds who are already competing in regional Badminton England tournaments.
“The top players are training a minimum of six hours a week and competing at tournaments most weekends – the commitment of players and parents is astounding.”
The club is looking for sponsors to provide kit for the players at the national finals. If interested, email pcmanager@berkshirejuniorbadminton.co.uk
