DENNY Bulman has warned any potential title challengers that he is improving all the time as a rising star in the boxing world.

Bulman, 28, is a two-weight PowerBox Promotions champion and impressed in a super middleweight contest against Jon Pratt at the O2 Arena in London on Friday.

The Slough-based ace told the Observer: “John Brennan (corner man) gave me advice to a tee and I felt very comfortable in the fight.

“The guy walked into my jab so I didn’t have to get out of first gear. He tried to drag me into a brawl but was missing with his shots, so I popped him with the jab and got away.

“It was a good show from me and I used the left jab well. Boxing-wise it was the best I’ve ever done. I’ve still got a bit to learn but it’s good to know that I’m getting a lot better.”

The 20,000 capacity O2 Arena is the biggest stage Bulman have ever boxed but any pre-fight nerves were quickly expelled.

“It was a bit daunting at first but after the first round I felt comfortable,” he explained. “I felt my opponent out in the first round and my nerves were calm.

“The crowd can put people off but I managed to block that out and concentrate on my opponent during the fight.”

Bulman will now take a break before returning to training and assessing his options, which include a potential rematch with Luke Corriette on a PowerBox Promotions show in Windsor this July.

Bulman beat Corriette for the super middleweight title back in June 2017.

He said: “I have a few options on the table but am going to take it as it comes and not rush into anything.”

"I have a holiday coming up at the end of May so will have a few weeks rest and then get back into shape in training."
