THE Burnham Junior Wildcats began in September 2016 with the idea to provide an opportunity and environment for girls to play their own game.

Just four girls came to the first training session, but the club now has over 50 girls playing.

The Wildcats have just completed their first full season in the Berkshire County Girls Football League with an under-11 (U11) and U13 team.

The club also had enough players to form teams at U9 and U10 level from February 2018.

The U10 team won the League Trophy final, the U11 side were victorious in the Burnham Juniors Football Club Tournament Cup.

Burnham Wildcats U13s won the league Futsal Tournament Trophy and League Cup Trophy, plus finished as Division Two champions.

The Wildcats have some great characters in their girls teams and all enjoy their football, as much as the coaches that train them.

The club enjoyed a day out when over 100 of its members travelled to Wembley to watch the Ladies FA Cup final.
