SLOUGH Town have held their first presentation evening at Arbour Park for the Junior and PALS sections of the club.

The event was well supported by all teams and was a celebration of the achievements and efforts of the players and volunteers.

It was recognised that, for all the players put into their football, none of it would happen without the volunteers behind the scenes.

Ammar Ahmed was named the Under 12 manager’s player of the year, Freddy Turner the players’ player and Callum Graham the supporters’ player.

In the U13 category, Taylor Lewis won both the players’ and supporters’ player of the year awards.

Joe Reed was named the manager’s player and Leo Godding the player of the season, while Joseph Dingui won the Golden Boot award.

Ted Salt was the U15 manager’s player and Alfie Turner the players’ player, with Aaron Thomas-Watts the most improved player, while the award for the top goalscorer went to Ferami Sanni.

The chairman’s award went to six boys for their contributions behind the scenes. These were Luke Fiander, Alfie Tormey, Tom King, Freddy Turner, Alfie Lathey and Alfie Turner.

Awais Khan was named the manager’s player of the year for the PALS team, with Paul Wade player of the season and Isaac Okine the young player of the season.

Slough Town lost one of their great advocates of disability football in Dave Carpenter this year, and his family and friends have made a financial contribution to aid the team going forward.

Rebels used some of the donation to purchase the Dave Carpenter Memorial Trophy, which was presented to Michael McGranaghan in recognition of the difficulties he has overcome to continue playing the sport.

Rebels were also proud to announce a new shirt sponsor for all the Junior and PALS teams and thanked 4 Your Futures Football Academy for their tremendous support. Both sections can now look forward to a well deserved break, but are raring to get back in pre-season training in August.
