SLOUGH 2nds require four points to ensure their Division One survival after losing by two wickets at Stoke Green on Saturday.

Opener Ali Ahmed made a brilliant 97 for the visitors, but a fine spell from left-arm spinner Zulfi Butt (4-18) helped Stoke Green bowl their opponents out for 209.

Nadeem Syed (3-58) and Yaqoot Rafiq (3-28) made early inroads in the reply, but Saqlain Basharat held his nerve with a masterful unbeaten 88 to get Stoke Green over the line with 13 balls to spare.

Slough 2nds end their season at home to Cove, while third-placed Stoke Green visit North Maidenhead.

In Division 3b, Burnham 2nds secured their survival and relegated Ruislip with a three-wicket home win.

Suleman Choudhary (3-19) and Naveed Bashir (3-28) did the damage as the visitors were routed for 107, although the run chase was not plain sailing aside from Obaid Sarwar’s 53 which helped Burnham reach 110-7 in 28 overs.

A fine all-round display from Callum Edgar (6-53 and 36no) and Lewis Smith’s 57 guided Datchet 2nds (216-9) to a thrilling one-wicket triumph at home to Chiswick & Whitton (215).

Slough 3rds kept their Division 4b promotion hopes alive with a thumping 149-run victory against second-placed Cookham Dean 2nds.

Skipper Usman Baig (63), Shahzad Baig (48) and Ali Baig (40no) were all among the runs as Slough posted 279-9 in their 45 overs, Sav Gandesha (3-36) and Aaron O’Donoghue (3-66) the pick of the attack.

In reply Yousef Majid (4-18) and Amman Raza (4-35) bowled well as The Dean were dismissed for 130.

In Division 5a, Mustafa Akhtar (3-19) and Hassan Malick (3-61) did the damage for Farnham Common in their convincing nine-wicket home win against Burnham 3rds.

Adeel Ali top scored with 46 in Burnham’s total of 165, but fine knocks from Mohsin Ghazanfar (84no) and Mallick (66no), helped the hosts race to 169-1 in just 21.2 overs.

Goutham Shrikrishna struck a memorable 150 and Kashif Hashmi (67) and Shankar Kaligatla (62no) were also among the runs as title-chasing Slough 4ths (339-6) battered Farnham Common 2nds (162) by 177 runs in Division 6a.

Arjun Gandotra took 4-11 for the victorious side, while Majid Mahamood (3-48) and Adil Shafiq (74) were the stand-out performers for Farnham Common.

In Division 6b, Burnham 4ths (187) were battered by nine wickets at home to Bradfield, despite decent knocks from Nasim Ahmed (57) and Shaid Nadeem (44).

Datchet 3rds (199-6) secured their Division 7b survival with a 33-run win against Maidenhead & Bray 3rds (166). Sameer Manchanda made 69 for Maids.

Skipper Lav Prabhakar (85) and Ganshyam Malshet (60no) led second-placed Slough 5ths (172-1) to an impressive nine-wicket win against leaders High Wycombe 4ths.

Anil Kakari’s 57 was not enough for Datchet 4ths (163), as they lost by seven wickets to Boyne Hill 4ths (164-3) in Division 8a, Owen Roberts making an unbeaten 92 for Hill.
