MAIDENHEAD Athletics Club star Pawel Czarnomski took on the Brecon Beacons 25k challenge and finished in a very impressive two hours and 27 minutes.

Rosie Ellis completed the Super Sprint Triathlon at Dorney in 54 minutes and 51 seconds. She was third in her age category, the 23rd female, and 74th overall.

The event consisted of a 400m swim in a freezing lake, a 10k bike and 2.5k run.

A number of club junior athletes competed in the Berkshire County Championships in Bracknell where three silver and two bronze medals were awarded.

Luke-Lom Hynes won silver in the under-15 (U15) 800m with a new personal best, Isla Page in the U13 quadrathlon and Abbie Jones in the U17 triple jump.

The bronze awards went to Laura House in the U17 high jump and Jones in the U17 300m, with a new personal best.

New personal bests were also recorded by James Badham (U15 100m and 200m), Olivia Phelps (U15 100m and 200m), Olivia D’Aversa (U15 800m and long jump), Abigail Symonds (U15 200m) and Jake Lewington (U17 100m).

Jake Humphries took part in the park run in Maidenhead and recorded a new personal best sub-20 minutes in a time of 19.35.
