SLOUGH Town FC returned to winning ways in the Southern Premier Division with a 1-0 victory against Arlesey Town on Saturday.

The Rebels had gone four matches without success, but a sole Ed Smith goal secured a welcome three points at Holloways Park.

Smith broke the deadlock midway through the first-half when he lashed a loose ball into the roof of the net.

The win sees Slough move up one place to 13th position and four points off the top half of the table.

The Rebels are away at Chippenham Town this Saturday (3pm ko) and then visit Redditch United on February 28.

Burnham FC failed to score for the first time in four matches after a 1-0 defeat to St Neots Town on Saturday.

Lewis Hilliard netted the only goal of the game when he met a quality cross with a bullet header on four minutes.

Defeat at The Gore sees Burnham remain second from bottom in the table and eight points adrift of safety.

The Blues now face a must-win match away at fellow strugglers Arlesey this Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead United secured a first win in Conference South since Boxing Day with a 2-0 victory against Chelmsford City on Saturday.

Tashan Adeyinka opened the scoring when he turned home a loose ball that was fumbled by City keeper Tom Lovelock on 10 minutes.

The Magpies’ top scorer Dave Tarpey secured the points with a header in the 73rd minute at York Road.

Maidenhead are at home to Basingstoke Town on Tuesday (7.45pm) before a trip to Havant & Waterlooville this Saturday (3pm).

Windsor FC ended a run of three consecutive defeats with a 2-2 draw away at Camberley Town on Saturday.

Omar Riaz gave Windsor a two-goal lead at Krooner Park with strikes in the third and 28th minutes.

Camberley recovered when Perry Coles scored on 43 minutes, and then Matthew Bunyab equalised before half-time.

Windsor welcome Knaphill to Stag Meadow this Saturday (3pm) and then continue the defence of their Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy crown.

Newport Pagnell Town are the visitors in a semi-finals tie next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Holyport FC slipped to a third straight home defeat after a 5-0 loss to Thatcham Town on Saturday.

Thatcham took the lead on three minutes when Paul Taplin side-footed a free-kick home from 12-yards.

The away team doubled their advantage on 28 minutes as Jordan Seaward reached a loose ball before keeper Shaun Coker.

Alex Charlick made it 3-0 on 31 minutes when he had time to pick his spot and crash a piledriver into the net.

Gavin Mackie scored a fourth goal for Thatcham on 50 minutes as he picked up a loose ball and side-footed home.

Yashwa Romeo completed the rout with a header from six yards in the 75th minute.

Holyport return to action in the Hellenic Premier Division with a trip to Binfield on March 6 (3pm).
