Five-star Slough Town FC end losing streak

The Rebels had suffered defeat in their four previous matches, but they took their chances and secured three points at the Corinium Stadium.

After Cirencester hit the crossbar from a corner kick, Slough opened the scoring through Scott Harris on 16 minutes.

Reece Yorke flicked on a free-kick and striker Harris put the ball into the net from a tight angle.

The hosts levelled the scores midway through the first-half as Nat Jarvis slotted home from inside the box.

The Rebels restored their lead on 23 minutes when Chris Henry beat the keeper to a cross from Jake Parsons.

Eddie Smith made it 3-1 in the 31st minute as he raced onto a long ball and slotted past the Cirencester stopper.

Harris doubled his own tally for the match on the hour mark when he tapped in a Smith cross from a yard out.

Cirencester were unfortunate to hit the bar for a second time before pulling a goal back on 70 minutes.

Josh Parsons latched onto a loose ball and his shot beat Slough keeper Luke Williams.

Less than a minute later and Parsons scored again from close range to make it 4-3 and give Cirencester a major boost.

But The Rebels secured the points as Henry turned in an excellent low cross from Smith in the 77th minute.

Slough welcome title-chasing Corby Town to Holloways Park on Tuesday (7.45pm ko) before a trip to Histon this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham FC narrowly avoided relegation from the Southern Premier Division despite a 3-1 defeat to Histon on Saturday.

Histon took the lead at The Gore on 27 minutes when Sam Ives rounded a defender a finished across keeper Alex Lynch.

The Blues lost Lynch to injury and replaced him with an outfield player, but they levelled the scores in the 50th minute.

Histon keeper Enol Ordonez made two great saves but the rebound was finally hammered home by David Pitt.

The visitors restored their lead on 87 minutes when Nick Freeman turned in Ryan Auger’s low cross from close range.

Histon secured the points in the fifth minute of time added on as Freeman converted a penalty, which was awarded for handball.

Burnham will be relegated this Saturday if they fail to win at Weymouth (3pm) and Biggleswade Town beat Hungerford Town.

Maidenhead United FC ended a run of four straight defeats after a 1-1 draw away at Chelmsford City on Saturday.

After a goalless first-half at the Melbourne Stadium, The Magpies broke the deadlock through Jacob Erskine on the hour mark.

Dave Tarpey crossed from the byline and Erskine tucked home, despite keeper Tom Lovelock getting a hand to the ball.

Chelmsford levelled the scores on 84 minutes when Joe Ward sent a low shot past Maidenhead keeper Ashley Timms.

The Magpies are now seven points above the Conference South relegation zone and host Gosport Borough this Saturday (3pm).

Windsor FC progressed into the Premier Challenge Cup semi-finals after a 3-1 win away at Worcester Park on Saturday.

Robert Lazarczuk gave Windsor a lead from the penalty spot on 24 minutes, and James Quinn made it two moments before half-time.

Barry Dunbar secured the win with a goal on 79 minutes, but Worcester pulled one back via James Robertson in the dying stages.

Windsor return to action in the Combined Counties Premier Division with a trip to Bedfont Sports this Saturday (3pm).

The Stag Meadow club then host Camberley Town in the Challenge Cup semi-finals next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Holyport FC are now seven matches without a win in all competitions after a 2-0 league defeat to Ascot United on Saturday.

Jon Bennett gave Ascot a lead at Summerleaze after a controversial throw-in decision in the 63rd minute.

The away team secured the points with a penalty in the final minute after Port keeper Sam Southerden was sent off.

Holyport are away at Highworth Town on April 4 (3pm), and then host Flackwell Heath two days later (3pm).
