BURNHAM face a tough test at home to promotion rivals Chesham United on Tuesday evening.
Having suffered their first league defeat of the season, the Blues bounced back to win 4-1 at Stourport Swifts on Saturday and they face the Generals in a stern examination.
"It's a big one," said manager Jamie Jarvis. "If we can get a result then we will be right in the mix again but it's a big blow to be without Will Dunlop."
Striker Dean Papali has joined Beaconsfield SYCOB and the Burnham boss has also brought in Joe Hatcher from Chesham who made his debut at right-back on Saturday and Chris Dean from Aylesbury United.
"Dean Papali has done nothing wrong," commented Jarvis. "I've been pleased with him but I've brought in Dennis Fennemore, the league's top scorer and we've got Craig (O'Connor), Ryan (Bird) and Jordan (Dowdican) as well.
"It's just the way we work, I don't think he was enjoying playing, we work hard to stop teams scoring, try to keep clean sheets and you know strikers, he wasn't enjoying it so wanted to move on.
"Joe Hatcher did really well, didn't put a foot wrong (on Saturday).
"Chris Dean is a young lad who used to be at Maidenhead, he will get his chance on the left with Stuart Swift missing soon and hopefully I should have a couple of lads coming in on loan from Wycombe.
"It's good to have competition for places, which we will have when players come back as it is Paul Brett, Stuart Swift and Dave Tilbury will be suspended."
