SLOUGH Cricket Club have recorded a first win in Home Counties Division One this season after a 70-run victory against Reading on Saturday.

The visitors fell to 0-2 and continued to loose wickets at regular intervals but batted the full 50 overs to reach 162-9.

Qasim Ali top-scored with 32, while Martin Andersson (28) and Malik (27) added runs, but none could stay at the crease long enough.

Shahid Yousaf was the pick of the Slough bowlers with figures of 3-19. He was backed up by Iklaq Raja (2-9) and Baig (2-41).
