SLOUGH recorded their second win in Home Counties Division One on Saturday after a four-wicket victory at Banbury.

Bobby Sher and his team have been frustrated this season - they have had more games abandoned then any other side - but the win against Banbury moves them up into the top-half of the table.

Summer recruit Steven Green was the star on show as his 7-52 helped reduce the home team to 185-8 from 62 overs.

Shaan Khan (1-25) was the other Slough bowler to take a wicket while Kurtis Patterson (46) top scored for Banbury.

Slough closed on 189-6 after five balls of the 33rd over for the win with Nabil Shah (73) and Berkshire star Waqas Hussain (50) providing the backbone to the innings.

Lloyd Sabin was the pick of the Banbury bowlers with his figures of 3-30.

Slough, now fifth in the table are away at defending champions High Wycombe this Saturday (11.30am start).

Burnham responded to the points deduction put on them by the league with a six-wicket win against Great & Little Tew.

In a low scoring match at Taplow Common Road, the visitors were bowled out for 82 in 27.2 overs thanks largely to 5-22 from Muhammad Haroon.

Adnan Shabbir took 2-16 for the hosts and Harrison Smith top-scored with 33 for Great & Little Tew.

In reply, Burnham reached 83-4 in 25.1 overs for the win. Naseer Ahmed finished unbeaten on 31 while Liam Manley recorded figures of 2-39.
