BUCKINGHAMSHIRE are hoping to bat Cheshire out of the game and give themselves a massive chance of victory following the second day's play at Slough in the Minor Counties final.

With two days remaining, the home side are in a decent position. At the end of the first day they had decalared on 369-5 with Slough's Fahim Qureshi top scoring on 162.

Chesgire were then 77 without loss but were skittled out for 304 on the second day with Bucks on 83-2 but with Qureshi and fellow century maker from the first innings and skipper Jason Harrison back in the hutch.

Bucks all-rounder, Bobby Sher commented: "We will look to bat them out of the game and set them 400. Hopefully we can get 20 or 25 overs at them on the third day and bowl them out on Wednesday."

I only could manage to be at the Bucks/Cheshire game on Sunday, so it is great to see that the local press is keeping us up-to-date with the daily fortunes of both teams.
