SHEHNELLA Ahmed of Slough has topped the 80 most powerful influential business and sports women around the world at the World Leaders Forum.

Ahmed has been given a special reward of recognition by the World Leaders Forum to take place next year in Singapore.

The award is for her achievements in sport and her success story when she became the world’s first Asian female football agent, which inspired young individuals to pursue non-traditional career choices.

The news came as no surprise for Ahmed.

It was not long ago that the media broke her story to the world.

Ahmed said: “I am totally speechless and gob-smacked to hear the news, to be honoured amongst other women leaders across the globe.

“I feel honoured to accept this invitation and am looking forward to meeting inspiring women leaders across the globe under one roof in Singapore next year.”

Ahmed is uniquely positioned to share her predictions on how women can gain influence and recognition in male-dominated industries in the future.

Ahmed – a criminal lawyer advocate and football agent - made football history by becoming the world’s first Asian female football agent for the English FA and she has already signed some of Europe’s top football players.

She received her license from the FA in September 2013 and aims to be a role model for youngsters and an ambassador for UK sports in the UK.

The Women Leaders Forum 2016 is organised by HSBC as a part of the HSBC Women’s Champions 2016, bringing together and honouring inspirational and aspirational women.

Ahmed will address the audience to identify and explore the issues that will shape the year ahead.

Women leaders across the globe also include leading scientists, celebrities and politicians, who will all share their predictions for the year ahead.
