LANGLEY Hornets have retained the Thames Valley Development League Under-14 League Cup after a 3-0 win against Burnham Junior Whites.

In a repeat of the U13 season last season, and on a scorching hot day, Langley took an early lead when Jeziah Blake smashed home a volley from 16-yards after a glorious ball from Dominic Reid.

Both sides were giving everything in a competitive first-half and the score remained 1-0 at the break.

The second-half started in the same manner as the first with both teams fighting to get on top, but it was Langley that got the vital next goal.

A well-worked corner routine executed by Bradley Foster and scored by Mohammed El Khouria in the six-yard box.

Langley were now on top and awarded a penalty, but a great save from the Burnham keeper kept his side in the game.

However, it was not long before Langley secured the cup. A through ball from Reid was met by Kyle Dobbyn who blasted the ball into the roof of the net.

The result means Langley Hornets have secured the league and cup double for the second year running
