WINDSOR Youth Galaxy U12s have played their first-ever 11-a-side match on a full-size pitch in preparation for next season.

It was a rare occasion as not many youth teams get the chance to play on the hallowed turf at Stag Meadow.

With the help of the senior club, the boys were treated to a red carpet, full matchday experience. They had the use of the changing rooms and had their names called out as they ran onto the pitch.

Hillingdon Abbots were the visitors and afforded the same courtesies.

It was a fantastic experience for all the boys involved and Windsor won the game 5-1 having gone a goal behind after 25 minutes.

The match was tied at 1-1 at half-time but Galaxy produced an amazing performance in the second half to score four goals and seal the victory.

After the game, the boys were treated to food and able to see the senior team onto the pitch for their final match of the season - a 1-0 win against Camberley Town.

It was a great opportunity for the boys and their parents to witness the growing success at Windsor, from grassroots level and all the way through to the senior side.
