GEORGE Green Juniors Under-13 (U13s) Reds have snuck a 3-2 win against the Blacks in round one of the Berks & Bucks County Cup.
The match was an exciting and enthralling encounter and, with the Blacks dominating the early stages, Mason Hart scored on the counter-attack to go into half-time with the Reds in front.
George Green Blacks equalised when the Reds were unable to clear and Sahil Khan rifled the ball home from close range.
A counter-attack saw the Blacks go ahead through Diogo Tagarro, but moments later Donnie Ngugi chased a through ball to slot home and equalise.
With penalties now looking a strong possibility with five minutes remaining, Ngugi was put through one-on-one with the keeper and kept his cool to seal victory.
George Green Juniors U16 Blacks won their Division Three league fixture with a 5-3 victory over Tring.
Four goals were scored by Cameron Walsh while Harun Ahmed notched the other.
George Green Juniors U14 sadly fell at the first hurdle of the Berks and Bucks County Cup when losing 7-0 at home to Langley Crusaders.
