FOOTBALL clubs across Berkshire were left frustrated in midweek after snow and freezing temperatures forced matches to be postponed.

Slough Town saw their Southern Premier Division fixture at Royston Town postponed due to a frozen pitch at Garden Walk on Tuesday.

The Rebels are currently in sixth position in the league table and a point behind the play-off spots ahead of a trip to fourth-placed Weymouth this Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead had their National League fixture at Boreham Wood postponed due to inclement weather conditions at Meadow Park.

United are currently in 12th position in the league table ahead of a visit to York Road from Woking this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports saw their Hellenic Division Two East fixture at Chinnor Reserves postponed due to a frozen pitch at the Chinnor Community Pavillion.

The Stabmonks are currently in third position in the league table ahead of a trip to bottom side London Rangers on Saturday (3pm).

Windsor made progress in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup after a 5-0 win away at Woodley United on Monday.

Goals from Nadir Shafi, George Gould and Matt Stockill gave Windsor a clear lead heading into the break at River.

The visitors made absolutely sure of their progression with further goals from Riccardo Cannon and Adewala Oshilaja after the interval.

Windsor return to action in the Premier Division with a trip to Fairford Town this Saturday (3pm).
