Windsor & Eton boss Keith Scott remains in confident mood ahead of tonight's play-off semi-final against Didcot Town, despite Saturday's humbling by bottom club Winchester City.

The Royalists went down 4-2 at Stag Meadow to their visitors from Hampshire but held onto second spot in the final South & West table thanks to AFC Totton's defeat.

"I'm going to go into the game very confident and I expect the players to go in very confident because if you don't there's no point playing," remarked the Windsor boss.

"On Tuesday night we've got to forget about Saturday and realise it's a cup final, it's a one-off game and how we've performed against Didcot this season is irrelevant.

"The fact that we beat them twice in the league is irrelevant, it's all about the night and we're going to have make sure that we deliver the goods."

Top scorer Michael Chennels returned from injury with a 20 minute run-out at the weekend and is in contention for the hosts' squad.

"I'm going to have 18 players to choose from so two of them are going to be very disappointed and five on the bench are going to be disappointed as well," added Scott.

"It will be a tough game and a good game because they'll want to come and play football.

"We know the pitch is going to be good, we know both teams are going to want to play and it's going to be the team that wants it the most and has a little bit of luck, that will go through."
