JAMIE Jarvis is set to be the manager of Burnham with a new consortium to take over at The Gore.

The former Blues player and ex-manager of Beaconsfield SYCOB, where he achieved incredible success over the last two seasons, is to take Peter Scott with him as coach.

Jarvis commented: "There's a new consortium going in there and they wanted me as manager. I didn't know about this when I left SYCOB, that was because the budget was slashed.

"Carl (Taylor) is a friend of mine and I said this to the consortium but they said whatever happens he won't be manager and they wanted me.

"It's not been confirmed yet," he said on Friday morning but an official announcement is expected in the next seven to 10 days by Ian Gould who heads the consortium.

Jarvis was told that the budget would be more than it was last season but not exactly what it would be.
