CARL Taylor has been left to consider his future in football after leaving Burnham.

A new consortium is set to take over, led by Ian Gould and they wanted a new man in charge - Jamie Jarvis.

Chairman Malcolm Higton confirmed that it was verbally agreed and that he would be carrying on at the club but in a different role when it is completed.

Taylor remarked: 'I was aware of Ian Gould and his views, that he has a son with some talent that he wants to push on and his views on the cup final night and I wouldn"t work with someone like that.

'I wish Jamie all the best as a friend of his. All this could have been handled very differently.'

With a vacancy currently at Beaconsfield SYCOB following the departure of Jarvis and Peter Scott Taylor has been linked with the manager"s role at Holloways Park and it was something that he did not rule out.

'It"s an option,' said Taylor. 'A local option but we don"t know what league they will be in yet, it might be the (Southern League Division One) Midlands.

'I"m sure there"s plenty of people that want to do the job and I"m sure they"ve got lots of options.

'If I went for it, it could be a bit of a catch 22, I think all the players will leave and financially they aren"t as strong as they were last year so it is potentially a massive, massive challnge but I"m not afraid of that.

'I want to have faith in someone, I have faith in myself, in the players I left behind who wanted to play for me and in the committee members.

'I would have to get back into it quickly or not at all.'
