SLOUGH Town FC suffered their first defeat of the new season as they lost 3-0 to Chesham United on Bank Holiday Monday.

Chesham took the lead three minutes before half-time when Ryan Laville chipped the ball over keeper Jake Somerville.

Laville saw a shot come back off the frame of the goal early in the second period, and then Rebels’ Adam Cornell skimmed the post with a header.

The visiting side doubled their advantage on the hour mark as Laville added to his own tally.

Minutes later, Chesham secured the win at Holloways Park with a third goal through Simon Thomas.

They should have had a fourth goal late on but Thomas fired a penalty kick over the crossbar.

Slough welcome Histon to Holloways Park this Saturday (3pm ko).

Burnham FC recovered from falling two-goals behind to draw 2-2 with Hungerford Town at The Gore.

Goals from James Clark on 18 minutes and Mark Draycott in the 37th minute saw Hungerford into a clear lead.

However, Nathan Poulton pulled one back from the spot on the stroke of half-time.

And Jordan Ajanlekoko completed the fightback with an equalising goal on 90 minutes.

Burnham travel to ex-Conference club Hereford United this Saturday.

Maidenhead United suffered a second consecutive defeat in Conference South after a 4-2 loss at Bromley.

Ali Fuseini gave Bromley a 14th minute lead at Courage Stadium, but Eddie Hutchinson restored parity moments later.

The home side regained their advantage in the third minute of time added on through Moses Ademola.

Danny Waldren made it 3-1 on the hour mark, but then Dave Tarpey gave Maidenhead hope with a goal on 74 minutes.

However, Bromley secured the win when Jamie Slabber netted on 89 minutes.

Maidenhead return to York Road this Saturday for the visit of Eastbourne Borough (3pm).

In Bank Holiday Monday’s early kick-off, Windsor FC won 1-0 at Chertsey Town in the Combined Counties Premier.

A goal from James Quinn on 36 minutes was the difference between the two sides at Alwyns Lane.

Windsor take on Southern League club Godalming Town in an FA Cup preliminary round tie at Stag Meadow this Saturday (3pm).

In the Hellenic Premier Division, Holyport FC made it an unbeaten weekend with a 0-0 draw against Binfield at Summerleaze.
