IVER FC Chairman Steve Law is full of optimism ahead of the club’s new East Berkshire Premier Division campaign.
The club just fell short of success last season as they finished third in the table following a superb year.
But Law believes that they can go one better this term after adding to their squad in the summer.
“I’m very optimistic of a good season,” he said. “We’ve kept the bulk of the squad together and added a couple of players like Will Dunlop and Stuart Swift so we’re happy with where we’re at.
“We’ve had a good pre-season with a couple of wins and we’re looking forward to the real business getting started.
“We’re not counting our chickens, but we’ll be disappointed if we’re not near the top of the table come the end of the season. We’re quite optimistic of having a successful year.” **PICK up a copy of the Observer, out every Friday, for all the latest sports news and action including our exclusive East Berkshire League preview** **FOLLOW the Observer on Twitter at @Observer_sports**
