SLOUGH Town FC were denied all three points in a 1-1 draw against nine-man Histon on Saturday.

Striker Adam Cornell gave The Rebels a 23rd minute lead at Holloways Park.

Shortly after, Histon forward Charlie Saunders was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Slough’s James Dobson.

The Rebels failed to build on their lead and one-man advantage however, and the visiting side levelled on 82 minutes.

Substitute Nick Freeman converted from the spot after Slough were guilty of shirt pulling inside the box.

Rebels midfielder George Short was also dismissed for a second bookable offence shortly after.

And Histon finished the match with nine men as full-back Harry O’Malley was also sent off.

The draw leaves Slough in 11th place in the Southern Premier Division, ahead of a trip to Weymouth this Saturday (3pm ko).

Burnham FC boss Gary Meakin last week challenged his side to score more goals and start to climb the table.

His team answered the call on Saturday with a 5-2 win at ex-Conference club Hereford United.

A Tom O’Regan strike and two from captain Nathan Poulton, including a penalty on 30 minutes, saw the Blues into a clear three-goal lead.

Burnham’s Melchi Williamson sliced into his own net before half-time to give Hereford hope.

But that was extinguished when Kofi Lockhart-Adams netted on the hour, and then Poulton completed his hat-trick.

Obe Oneyeike netted a consolation goal for the home side on 82 minutes.

Burnham, now in 17th place in the Southern Premier table, welcome Cambridge City to The Gore this Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead United held Conference South leaders Eastbourne Borough to a 0-0 draw at York Road.

The Magpies’ best chance arrived when Adrian Clifton was brought down inside the box by Marvin Hamilton, earning the visiting player a straight red card.

However, Danny Green saw his spot kick saved by keeper Lewis Carey on eight minutes.

The draw leaves Maidenhead in ninth place in the table. They visit Staines Town this Saturday (3pm).

Windsor FC are out of the FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat against Godalming Town at Stag Meadow.

Will Hutton and sub Marco Micalletto scored in the second-half of the preliminary round tie for the visitors.

Windsor host Hellenic Premier club Shrivenham in an FA Vase first qualifying round tie this Saturday (3pm).

Holyport FC lost 3-2 at Thatcham Town in the Hellenic Premier on Saturday.

Luke Farrugia gave Thatcham an early lead, which was soon cancelled out by Darnell Nelz.

The home side restored the advantage through Yashwa Romeo before half-time, and then Farrugia added a third goal in the second-half.

Jamie West pulled one back for Holyport late on, but they could not find an equalising goal.

Holyport are not in action again until September 9, when they host Thame United (7.45pm ko).
