WHEATSHEAF Old Boys FC manager Gary Bradshaw will not let his team get complacent after a brilliant 4-1 win at Real Milan on Sunday.

Milan were blown away by a dominant first-half performance from Wheatsheaf in a clash of rivals at Burnham Grammar School.

The win sees Wheatsheaf return to the top of the Thames Valley Premier Division table and two points clear of the chasing pack.

However, Bradshaw has played down the win and insists that it is only a stepping stone in their title challenge.

He told The Observer: “The long and short of it is, it was a great performance and I am happy.

“But it is what it is and we have got to do that five more times to secure the title.

“We have got to keep our feet on the ground and go again because it’s still wide open.

“If we lose the next five then we can still finish mid-table. All it does is give us a chance and a starting point.

“If we don’t do what we need to do then we can still end up in mid-table.

“We have to stay strong and perform consistently, whoever we play against. It’s still a four-team race and there’s certainly all to play for.

“I think that Milan and Wraysbury Bentons are in there, and New Windsor Social Club have still got a chance.

“We’ve still got to play Milan once and Wraysbury twice, but we got the job done on Sunday.” Commenting on Sunday’s win, Bradshaw said: “Milan were in the game but just got beaten by four brilliant goals.

“Anyone of them would be good enough to win a game and on another day we would’ve struggled for a result.

“We were very strong in the first-half, but Milan were still in the game and had their chances.

“We went out to upset their rhythm and impose our game on them. We had a little bit of an edge and our chances went in.

“Milan did push on in the second-half but our defence held up and I’m pleased with that.” Wheatsheaf turn their attention towards the Ken Gomm Challenge Cup and a third round tie at New Windsor this Sunday (10.30am ko).

Bradshaw said: “We played New Windsor at the start of the season and they beat us pretty convincingly.

“They are a very hard working side and have a little bit of quality in there as well.

“I think that we’ve got a good chance but we know we have got to apply ourselves. It’s about attitude as well.

“It is one of those seasons where you could end up with everything or nothing.” **PICK up a copy of the Observer, out now, for all the latest sports news and action including pictures from Real Milan v Wheatsheaf Old Boys** **FOLLOW the Observer on Twitter at @Observer_sports**
