WRAYSBURY Bentons FC hold all the aces in their Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup semi-final against Real Milan, according to Zufran Asghar.

The two sides are Thames Valley Premier Division rivals and guarantees that the league will be represented in this season’s final.

Milan representative Asghar told The Observer that both teams will be backed to progress though Wraysbury will be the favourites.

He said: “If you’re looking for a well-drilled and well-organised Sunday league side then Wraysbury are the team to replicate.

“They have the attributes to be a perfect Sunday team and have beaten Two Touch, who had thrashed everyone in this competition.

“We have played Wraysbury five times, they’ve won three and us two so we’re evenly matched.

“I would much rather play someone that we know and what more perfect opposition than our good friends at Wraysbury Bentons.

“It is an opportunity for one of the Thames Valley League teams to get to a final, and it’s a new thing for us.

“We lost in a Junior Cup final back in 2011 when the club first became an adult side.

“There will be support from both sides to get there and it comes down to who performs better on the day.” Asghar continued: “Wraysbury will be the favourites because they’ve already beaten us twice this season.

“Both of those came down to the individual brilliance of Charlie Samuels but anything can happen in a semi-final.

“They have got the upper hand on us and are a team that always works well.

“We have to guard against complacency and play well because we can score goals and cause any team problems.

“We’ve just got to keep building on each game as it comes and ensure we put in a good performance.

“If not then our season can be over before we even start to think about trophies.” The semi-final tie will take place at Wraysbury FC this Sunday (10.30am) with a date for the final to be confirmed.

Milan have beaten AFC Phoenix (Plough), Shamrock Rovers, Stoke Poges Dons and FC Beaconsfield to reach the final four.

Wraysbury have already eliminated SC, Last Post, Masters and Two Touch from the competition this season.
