Taplow United FC suffered from a cup hangover as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Sandhurst Devels on Saturday. The hosts dominated for most of the match and took the lead when Taplow failed to clear their lines properly and Matt Cooper was on hand at the back post to fire home.

Sandhurst increased their lead from the penalty spot when the skipper Richard Steel was fouled and Mark Farrell converted the resulting kick.

On the hour, Sandhurst made it three when Steel latched onto a through ball and poked into the corner.

Taplow upped their game for the final 15 minutes and Pete Shay reduced the deficit with a header but it was all they could show for their efforts.
