SLOUGH Town FC recorded their first ever win against Truro City on Saturday as they won 2-1 at Treyew Road.

It was The Rebels’ longest away trip of the season, and once again they had to come from a goal behind to win.

Truro began well and took the lead on 21 minutes when Craig Duff smashed the ball past keeper Jake Somerville from the edge of the area.

The home side continued to carry out the greater threat in the second period, but were made to pay on the hour for not taking their chances.

James Dobson lined up to take a free-kick on the edge of the area, and then drilled the ball under the wall and past goalkeeper Kyle Moore.

Duff then saw a shot come back off the crossbar, whilst Rebels’ Scott Harris poked the ball onto the post and wide.

But Slough did score again on 78 minutes as Harris tried to get his head to a cross from Tom Moran and the ball came off Johnnie Dyer at the back post.

The striker did not seem to know much about it, but he did make sufficient contact on the ball to send it looping over Moore and into the net.

Truro could have equalised late on when a Jamie Lowry free-kick clipped bar, but The Rebels were able to hold on and claim all three points.
