Slough Town FC suffered consecutive league defeats for the first time since October after a 3-0 loss against Dunstable Town on Saturday.

The Rebels conceded three first-half goals and then saw James Dobson sent off early in the second period at Holloways Park.

Joint-bosses Neil Baker and Jon Underwood were keen to achieve a positive result but saw their side fall behind after three minutes.

Ben Herd won possession on the right and cut inside unchallenged before passing to Inih Effiong, whose strike beat keeper Jake Somerville via a post.

Slough lost Billy Jeffreys to a knee injury and Dunstable doubled their advantage after half an hour.

Steven Gregory played in Tony Burnett, who eluded a tackle before rounding Somerville and placing the ball into an empty net from close range.

The goal deflated The Rebels somewhat and their position worsened when injured captain Jamie McClurg was replaced by Leigh Rumbold.

Dunstable made it 3-0 in the third minute of stoppage time as Effiong hooked the ball expertly over Somerville.

The home side failed to improve in the second-half and Dobson’s dismissal for two quick yellow cards made a comeback highly improbable.
