BERKSHIRE Triathlon Squad's youngest member Alex Titley, aged 10, competed in his second duathlon of the year at the Dorney junior duathlon (1k run, 5k bike, 1k run), finishing second in his age group and seventh overall in a time of 21m 09secs.

Ed Nunn completed his first duathlon of the season at the Votwo Eton Dorney Sprint duathlon (5krun, 20k bike, 5k run), finishing in 25th place overall and second in his age group. He had splits of 19m 20secs, 29m 35secs and 20m 40secs. As part of Ed’s Ironman training he also completed the tough 16 mile Kingston breakfast run on Sunday as a pace maker in 47th place with a time of 1h 52m 44secs.

Emma Harrison and Janice Caldwell also completed the same race in 2h 46m 21secs.

Meanwhile Hayley and Nicky Weeks ran the River Thames half marathon as part of their triathlon pre-season training in 1h 47m and 1h 58m respectively. Hayley smashed her personal best by a solid 10 minutes and Nicky was pleased to get under two hours for her first half marathon.

Andrew Bower also beat his personal best at Dorney Lake half marathon.

He had been training hard all winter and on a flat windy course in preparation for his half ironman 70.3 race in Wimbleball in June, he punched the air as he crossed the finish line in 1h 40m 32secs, taking two minutes off his previous best.
