SLOUGH Town FC took a point from their final home match of the season after a 1-1 draw against Frome Town on Saturday.

Though Holloways Park has not exactly been a fortress for The Rebels this year, just seven wins in 22 league matches, supporters have enjoyed some memorable moments.

Scott Harris bagged a hat-trick as Slough beat Paulton Rovers back in November, and Weymouth were blown away in January.

More recently, The Rebels recovered from falling three goals behind to draw with St Neots Town, but it was Frome who snatched a point last weekend.

Slough capitalised on poor defending to take the lead when a Dan Read cross was not dealt with and Chris Henry bundled in the loose ball.

The away team levelled the scores in the second-half as Jack Vallis got up to head a free-kick past Luke Williams, beating the keeper to the ball.

After the match, Rebels joint-boss Jon Underwood tweeted: “Shame we couldn’t go on and win after a decent first-half performance but Frome are fighting for their lives.” Slough are away at Banbury United on Tuesday (7.45pm ko), and bring the curtain down on their season with a trip to Dorchester Town this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham FC suffered defeat in their penultimate game of the year after a 4-0 loss away at Hitchin Town on Saturday.

After a goalless first-half at Top Field, Hitchin took the lead on 56 minutes when David Corran headed home a loose ball after keeper Brendan Hazlett had saved a shot from Lucas Kirkpatrick.

The home team doubled their advantage in the 65th minute as Callum Donnelly produced a fine strike to beat The Blues’ keeper.

Kirkpatrick made it 3-0 on 71 minutes when he headed home a great ball from Ian Rees, and he doubled his own tally for the match moments later.

The midfielder came up with a fantastic finish that Hazlett had little chance of keeping out.

Burnham end their season with a trip to Cirencester Town this Saturday (3pm).

Three second-half goals saw Maidenhead United FC fall to a 4-1 defeat to Wealdstone at York Road on Saturday.

Wealdstone took the lead on eight minutes with a fine free-kick from Shaun Lucien, who also scored in the corresponding match back in November.

Playing in front of a season’s best crowd, The Magpies levelled the scores in the 20th minute when Jacob Erskine headed home from the tightest of angles at the far post.

The visitors restored their lead on 55 minutes as Jonathan Wright put the ball into an empty net after one of his teammates appeared to imped keeper Elvijs Putnins.

Matthew Ball made it 3-0 in the 66th minute when he had the opportunity to head a cross from Wright into an empty net.

Wealdstone completed the rout on 80 minutes through ex-Maidenhead star Jefferson Louis.

The Magpies travel to Sutton United in their final match of the season in Conference South this Saturday (3pm).

Windsor FC secured fifth position in the Combined Counties Premier Division this season with a 2-1 win away at Badshot Lea on Saturday.

Travis Richardson-Hodge gave Windsor a 38th minute lead at the Shawfield Stadium, but Badshot levelled through Danny Turner on 55 minutes.

Windsor saw Barry Dunbar sent off on the hour mark, at the same time as keeper Ashley West saw red for Badshot.

The away team secured the points when captain Adam Kirby netted in the 61st minute.

Windsor end their season with a visit to Stag Meadow from Hartley Wintney this Saturday (3pm).

Holyport FC brought the curtain down on their season with a 4-2 defeat away at Newbury on Saturday.

The defeat means that The Port can finish as high as 16th position in the Hellenic Premier Division table this season.
