SLOUGH CC's eight-match unbeaten run ended after seven-wicket defeat at Henley on Saturday.

Henley were the last side to beat Slough on June 22, and the result confirms the Oxfordshire club as champions of Home Counties Division One.

In a rain affected match at The Brakspear Ground, Slough were invited to bat first but could only set a modest target of 132 all out.

Henley needed 100 runs from 23 overs to win via the Duckworth Lewis method, and they reached the target with 30 balls to spare before inclement weather ended the contest.

There was no play between Tring Park and Burnham, while Farnham Royal and Falkland, the bottom two sides in Division Two West, did not get underway at Church Road.

As rain swept across Berkshire, Thames Valley League clubs Datchet, North Maidenhead, Windsor, Cookham Dean, Stoke Green, Farnham Common and Datchet Cranbourne all saw matches cancelled.

However, in Division 2b, Boyne Hill took full advantage of a break in the weather to go second following a narrow win at leaders Kidmore End.

Kidmore made 130-8 from their allotted 37 overs, but Hill chipped away at the target and hit the winning runs with one wicket to spare. Muditha Gayan Fernando smashed 71 for the visitors.

And in Division 3b, Maidenhead & Bray moved within four points of top spot after an impressive 10-wicket win against Old Merchant Taylors (OMT).

The visitors were bowled out for just 60 before Maidenhead secured victory inside 12 overs at Grove Lane.
