SLOUGH Town FC maintained their excellent form thanks to a fifth straight league win with a 1-0 victory at AFC Hayes on Saturday.

The victory capped off a superb week for The Rebels, who also beat Barton Rovers 2-1 at Sharpenhoe Road last Thursday, leaving them in second position in Division One Central.

Slough showed no signs of tiredness and heaped early pressure on Hayes, eventually taking the lead on nine minutes. Johnnie Dyer played a reverse pass into the path of Warren Harris who beat two defenders and fired into the back of the net.

Dyer and Edward Smith were both on target in a crucial win at play-off chasing rivals Barton Rovers last Thursday.

The Rebels took the lead on 49 minutes when Barton failed to clear their lines from a corner and the ball fell kindly for Dyer, whose strike was not clean but on target, going in via the far post.

Barton levelled on 63 minutes as Luke Knight was afforded too much time and space to strike at goal from 25-yards, the ball swerving and dipping over the head of keeper Jake Somerville.

Four minutes later Slough were back in front when Smith fired into the top corner, giving keeper Kyle Foster no chance of saving.

Beaconsfield SYCOB recorded an impressive 3-1 home win over an in-form Uxbridge on Saturday, a third consecutive league victory.

Tom O’Regan and Lee Grant were both on target in the opening period, and Kofi Lockhart-Adams added a third before Uxbridge pulled one back through Kevin Warner.

Burnham FC suffered a seventh straight defeat after going down 2-1 against Arlesey Town at The Gore on Saturday.

Mark Gallagher gave Arlesey a lead on the hour, but that was cancelled out less than a minute later by Blues’ Aaron Couch.

Burnham thought they had done enough to earn a draw from the Southern Premier Division fixture, but the visitors stole the points when Jonny McNamara netted on 89 minutes.

Maidenhead United recorded a third straight win in Conference South with a 3-2 victory against Sutton United on Saturday.

Jamie Taylor opened the scoring for Sutton on eight minutes but Maids went into the break level as Harry Grant netted on the stroke of half-time.

Taylor scored again on 68 minutes, but Danny Green restored parity soon after and then wrapped up the points with an 88th minute winner.

Maidenhead make the trip to Havant & Waterlooville tonight (Monday, 7.45pm ko) and host Concord Rangers on Thursday (7.45pm).

Windsor FC suffered a third consecutive loss in the Combined Counties Premier Division after a 3-2 defeat at Mole Valley on Saturday.

Jordan Dowdican scored a brace to send Windsor into the break on level terms after Mike Burton and Richie Smith both scored early on for Mole Valley.

Windsor, though, had no answer to a third Burton goal in the second minute of time added on.

Windsor travel to Farnham Town on Tuesday (7.45pm) where a win could see them regain fourth position in the table.

Holyport FC are now 16 matches without a win in all competitions after a 3-2 defeat against Binfield at Summerleaze.

Garry Callaway scored the only goal in the first half of the Hellenic Premier fixture, but Holyport fought back with Ryan Tye and Kris Drake on the scoresheet.

However, Binfield levelled through Callum Whitty and secured the points when Conor Reeves netted in time added on.

Holyport are due to go to Flackwell Heath on Tuesday (7.45pm) looking for a first league win since November 19.
