PAUL Rendall is certain that his Slough outfit will make sure that local rivals Windsor 'know they have been in a game' in their derby clash on Saturday.
The old adversaries will go head-to-head at Upton Court Park in the Southern Counties North Division, with Slough looking to avenge last year's results when Windsor did the double over them in the league.
Although they counted themselves very unlucky to go down in the home clash which Windsor prevailed with a flattering scoreline of 27-7.
"They will be tested, we will see how good they are," stated Greenies head coach Rendall. "They will know they've been in a game when they come to Slough."
He added: "We took training last (Tuesday) night and everyone is pretty keen - get the local derby on.
"It's all been running a little bit close recently, looking at the scorelines they have been close.
"The way we went through them last year it was disappointing not to come away with any positive results. This game last year, the spate of idiotic refereeing decisions cost us. It was all decided on penalty after penalty.
"When you are pushing a scrum back 10 metres you don't expect to be penalised for dropping all the time. Our forwards were dominating and setting up the backs.
"We have got to make sure we are up for it and perform on the day though.
"There's a few injuries coming back but I'm still worried about James O'Reilly and Pete Sullivan - we will have to wait and see, they've got a chance."
Windsor head coach, Paul Britton revealed: "We expect nothing less than a real contest at Slough. We always go there expecting a tough test which I'm sure is what we will get.
"We've had a couple of changes forced on us. I won't dwell on the detail but it means different combinations. We've got the preparation done early.
"There's more emphasis on set pieces, particularly with Paul Rendall's influence on the scrum area, and we know they will be strong there.
"But apart from that we will be sticking to our way of playing."
