Jets appoint Koulikov as head coach

SLAVA Koulikov will take over as Slough Jets head coach following the departure of Doug Sheppard.
Koulikov, who played for the Jets between 2009-2011, was with Manchester Phoenix last season and will continue playing with Slough.
Jets owner Ghislaine Nassif said: "Slava had kept in touch throughout last season and once it was clear we needed a new coach he came forward.
"Slava's hockey pedigree is second to none both Zoran [Kozic] and myself are very pleased with his appointment".
Speaking ahead of taking on the new challenge, Koulikov said: "I'm really looking forward to building on the success of 2011/12 and working with the guys. It's an exciting challenge and I can't wait to get back to Slough and down to business."
