SLOUGH Town FC joint-bosses Neil Baker and Jon Underwood will keep supporters guessing over new signings this summer.

Baker and Underwood kept The Rebels in the Southern Premier Division this season, but admit they lacked experience on the pitch at times.

The pair are confident that they know what is required to progress next year, but will not release details of potential signings until July.

A statement of the club’s official website read: “Our first season in the Southern Premier has been a tough one, but we’ve learned a huge amount about the division, our players and ourselves as managers.

“We’ve had some fantastic performances such as the wins over four of the top six teams, as well as a memorable FA Trophy win at Margate.

“But we’ve also some very poor displays where we have been nowhere near good enough by the standards we set ourselves.

“Although we’ve scored a good number of goals this season, it’s the goals against column which has been the biggest disappointment and this is our key priority to address next season.

“Changes to the squad is something we’ve been discussing at length over the past month or two and we’re confident we know exactly what is required to progress.

“This year however, we will not be releasing any details of potential signings until the forms are done in July.

“We pride ourselves on our communication to the supporters but, as I’m sure people will understand, it’s a very competitive market place out there and we need to keep our dealings close to our chest.

“We know exactly how we want to play next season in terms of formation and approach, and how we shape the squad over the summer will reflect this.

“We will have the huge boost of welcoming back Adam Foulser and Warren Harris after a year out, plus two key players who missed the second half of the season in Jamie McClurg and Adrian Sear.

“The return of these players will be crucial to our improvement next year and they will be working hard over the summer to ensure they hit the ground running come pre-season.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support over the past season and look forward to seeing you all again for what we hope will be a really positive second season at this level.

“With continuing developments off the pitch with the new ground, we believe 2015/16 will be a really exciting year for Slough Town and we’re delighted to be the men in charge.” **PICK up a copy of The Observer, out now, for all the latest sports news and action including pictures from The Rebels’ presentation evening** **FOLLOW The Observer on Twitter at @Observer_sports**
