SLOUGH Town Supporters Trust members have completed their annual sponsored walk to raise money for charity.

A large group of fans set off on the trek from Windsor to Beaconsfield on Saturday.

The route also took in Wexham and passed a number of important sites in the area of historical significance to the club.

One of those included the Community Sports Facility in Arbour Park, which is set to become the new home of the Rebels from this August.

The walk began early at Stag Meadow and refreshments were provided along the way by the local Sainsbury’s.

Walkers also took a short drinks break at The White Horse in Hedgerley before they finally reached Holloways Park around 1.30pm in time for Slough’s home fixture against King’s Lynn.

The walk was organised to raise money for Sebastian’s Action Trust, which supports families of seriously ill children.

It is not yet know how much money was raised, but the total will be boosted by £150 donated during a half-time bucket collection.

Slough Town Supporters Trust board member, Dan Brench, said: “We’d like to thank those who completed the walk to raise money for Sebastian’s Action Trust. We are always so proud of the efforts of fans to help raise money through this walk and it shows how close-knit the club and fans are that so many came out to support us.”
