Slough Town will remain in the Southern Football League Premier Division for the 2016/17 season it was confirmed by the Football Association today (Thursday).

With The Rebels set to move back into the borough of Slough with a brand new Community Sports Facility at Arbour Park in Stoke Road, it was possible the club could have been transferred into the Isthmain Football League.

Slough will be joined by Basingstoke Town and Hayes & Yeading United, who were relegated from National South last season.

Banbury United, Cinderford Town, St Ives Town and Kings Langley have all been promoted from Division One of the Southern League.

Sadly there is no reprieve for Burnham FC, who finished second-from-bottom in Southern Division One South & West and the club will feature in step five of the English football season next season.

The Blues could be placed in either the Hellenic or Combined Counties Football Leagues.
