SLOUGH Town confirmed the signing of striker Charlie Moone on Sunday.

Moone joins The Rebels from Hampton & Richmond Borough where he has spent the last six seasons.

He has been a prolific scorer for Hampton in recent seasons with 118 goals in 257 appearances. His best return came in the 2013/14 season when he won the Ryman Premier Golden Boot scoring 34 league goals.

Moone has also played at a higher level for Woking and Boreham Wood.

The striker played his part in Hampton's Ryman Premier Division win last season, scoring another 12 goals, but spent much of the campaign on the bench due to a change in system which saw them play with just one striker.

There has been a lot of interest in Moone in recent weeks and Slough joint-managers Jon Underwood and Neil Baker are said to be delighted he has chosen to join The Rebels, confident he will be a very big player for the club.

Baker tweeted: "I'm delighted that Charlie will be joining us at Slough Town in the homecoming. A great striker and someone we have known since he was 16."

SLOUGH Town legends will be lacing their boots once again on Saturday, June 11 when they take part in the 2016 exhibition match at the Farnham Park Playing Fields.

The two teams will be managed by former Rebels players and managers Eddie Denton and Darron Wilkinson, and a host of fans' favourites have confirmed their availability.

The match will kick off at 3pm and the bar at Farnham Park will open from 1pm. Entry costs £5 for adults and £2 for children.
