SLOUGH TOWN have become the first team to take a point from their visit to Penydarren Park this season after a 1-1 draw with Merthyr Town on Saturday.
Few connected with the Rebels will be disappointed at bringing home a point and in doing so Slough have extended their lead at the top of the Southern Premier Division table to five points.
James Dobson gave the visitors a lead with his eighth goal of the season after 21 minutes. The wide midfielder sent a sublime curling free-kick into the top corner from around 25-yards out.
