SLOUGH Town recorded their first win at Arbour Park this season after a 3-0 victory over St Ives Town on Saturday.

The Rebels were beaten in their first match in the Southern Premier Division, at home and at the hands of Kettering Town, but after away wins at Gosport Borough and Hereford, they returned to the now-complete stadium to beat St Ives.

The success means Slough remain in fifth position in the league table ahead of the trip to newly-promoted Farnborough on Bank Holiday Monday.

Slough took the lead when Chris Flood struck into the roof of the net after good work by Warren Harris inside the box on 38 minutes.

James Dobson doubled the advantage in the dying seconds of the first half. Flood turned provider and beat Lee Chaffey to find Dobson in space for the shot.

The Rebels made certain of the three points 11 minutes from time as Flood passed the ball across goal for substitute Gavin James to add the finish to a good team move.

After the visit to Farnborough on Monday, Slough are away to Berkhamsted in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup this Saturday (3pm).

The honours were shared as Burnham drew 2-2 with Abingdon United at The Gore in the Hellenic Premier Division on Saturday.

Burnham twice had to come from behind to secure their second home point of the season after Joe Green had scored either side of the break for Abingdon.

For the hosts, Junior Samuyiea netted in the final minute of the first half, before Barry Dunbar found the target 11 minutes from time.

Burnham made the short journey to Flackwell Heath on Bank Holiday Monday hoping to do better than the 5-0 defeat they suffered at Wilks Park in the FA Cup earlier on in the season.
