SLOUGH Town saw their eight-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday after a 3-1 defeat at St Neots Town.

The Rebels had been in superb form in both the FA Cup and Southern Premier Division, but losing at Rowley Park saw them fall four places to fifth position in the league table.

Striker Chris Flood gave Slough the lead as early as the fifth minute with his sixth goal of the season, but Tom Meechan levelled the scores at 1-1 just seconds later.

Meechan put St Neots in front with his second goal on 78 minutes before Dion Sembie-Ferris secured all three points for the visitors in the fourth minute of time added on.

It is the first time Slough have been beaten since the opening day of the season and they could bounce straight back with a win at Redditch United on Tuesday (7.45pm).

The Rebels then turn their attention back to the FA Cup and a home third qualifying round tie against Poole Town this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham have been dumped out of the FA Vase this season after a 5-1 defeat at Highworth Town on Saturday.

Highworth were convincing winners in the second qualifying round tie following a clinical first-half onslaught which saw them score four goals.

Ashley Edenborough scored twice with other efforts from Kieron Gleed and Aysa Corrick, who also bagged a goal after the break.

Burnham kept it to 1-1 in a determined second-half display at The Elms Recreation Ground - Barry Dunbar with the goal.

The Blues turn their attention to the Floodlit Cup and a visit to The Gore from Holyport on Tuesday (7.45pm), before a return to action in the Hellenic Premier Division at Royal Wootton Bassett this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but host Aston Clinton in Hellenic Division Two East this Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead United have suffered a first defeat in three matches in the National League after a 2-0 loss at Chester on Saturday.

Ryan Astles and Ross Hannah scored the goals for Chester either side of the half-time interval at the Deva Stadium.

The defeat means Maidenhead fall sixth places to 11th position in the league table, with Guiseley set to visit York Road this Saturday (3pm).
