SLOUGH Town have extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight matches after a 3-2 win against Merthyr Town on Saturday.

The Rebels recovered from falling behind to win the match in injury time at Arbour Park, and climb into the play-off spots in the Southern Premier Division.

A goal from Matthew Lench gave Slough the lead inside six minutes but an Alan Inns own goal on the half-hour mark meant the two sides went into the break level.

Merthyr went ahead when Ian Traylor scored nine minutes after the restart, before Rebels striker Ben Harris saw his penalty saved by Oliver Davies.

Substitute James Dobson equalised for the home team on 63 minutes - moments after a minutes applause for Kevin McGoldrick - with his 18th goal of the season.

Lench then had a spot-kick saved by Davies in the fifth minute of time added on, but the midfielder reacted quickest to score and secure the points for Slough.

The win means the Rebels have moved up one position to fifth place in the league table with at least three games in hand on all the sides above them.

Slough welcome fourth-from-bottom Kings Langley to Arbour Park on Tuesday (7.45pm), before making the trip to Tiverton Town on Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead United have returned to winning form in the National League with a 3-0 victory against Chester at York Road on Saturday.

Two goals from Harry Pritchard and one from Sam Barratt, all in the first 34 minutes secured the points for United.

Chester player James Jones was shown a straight red card on 11 minutes with the score at 0-0.

The win keeps Maidenhead in 13th position in the league table, nine points behind the play-off spots and 11 points above the relegation zone.

United turn their attention to the FA Trophy and a third round tie at home to National League North club Stockport County this Saturday (3pm).

Burnham remain bottom in the Hellenic Premier Division after a 6-0 defeat against Brimscombe & Thrupp at The Gore on Saturday.

Goals from John Evans, Sam Blackie and Ollie Pitt gave the visitors at clear lead at the break.

Brimscombe secured the points after the break with goals from Jack Smith, Blackie and Jamie Vadasz.

Burnham welcome third-placed Wantage Town to The Gore this Saturday (3pm).

Windsor saw their match at Longlevens postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Windsor turn their attention to the FA Vase and a fifth round proper tie at home to Hamble Club this Saturday (3pm).
