SLOUGH Town recorded their first away win in three matches after a 4-1 victory at St Ives Town on Tuesday.

The win keeps The Rebels in the Southern Premier Division play-off spots and there is now a six-point gap back to the chasing pack.

St Ives broke the deadlock at Westwood Road when Peter Clarke was on target with his side's first chance of the match on 27 minutes.

Slough got a deserved equaliser from the penalty spot as the referee spotted a foul inside the box. Midfielder Simon Dunn stepped up to beat Tom Smith in the 42nd minute for his fifth goal of the season.

The Rebels took a lead into the half-time interval after a Warren Harris shot from outside the box flew into the top corner just moments before the whistle.

A goal from striker Ben Harris extended the advantage further five minutes after the restart, and after Lee Togwell hit the post, forward Manny Williams secured all three points with his 12th goal of the season four minutes into time added on.

The win means Slough remain in fifth position in the league table ahead of a trip to Basingstoke Town this Saturday (3pm), before making the trip to promotion-rivals Weymouth next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Virginia Water are out of the Hellenic League Challenge Cup after a 1-0 defeat against Bracknell Town at Stag Meadow.

A goal from TJ Bohane on 43 minutes was the difference between the two sides in the quarter-final tie. Max Herbert laid the ball to Bohane who slotted home from 10-yards.

Seb Bowerman was unfortunate not to increase the lead after 71 minutes when his free-kick from 25-yards beat keeper Matt Jones but came back off the upright.

Bracknell substitute Joe Grant headed in a Bowerman cross at the back post in the final minute of normal time but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Virginia Water return to action in Division One East with a trip to bottom-of-the-table Milton United this Saturday (3pm), before Penn & Tylers Green visit Stag Meadow next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Holyport made progress in the Supplementary Cup after a 1-0 win away at Brimscombe & Thrupp.

The tie was given the go-ahead after the pitch at The Meadow passed a 2pm inspection.

Port took the lead on 58 minutes before their keeper saved a penalty from Ash Caldwell just seconds later to keep his clean sheet and help secure the win.

Holyport return to action in Division One East with a trip to Wokingham & Emmbrook this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports remain unbeaten at Arbour Park in Division Two East this season after a 3-0 win against Chalfont Wasps Reserves.

A goal from Jamie Earis inside seven minutes gave The Stabmonks the lead which they held heading into the half-time interval.

Captain Ryan Hazell increased the advantage with a header from a Bryan Taylor cross on 71 minutes, before the visitors were reduced to 10-men after a fracas.

Hazell secured all three points for Chalvey with his second goal, again a header from a Taylor Cross, with nine minutes still to play.

The win keeps The Stabmonks in third position in the league table, three points behind Abingdon United Development but with two matches in hand.

Chalvey are away at Virginia Water Reserves this Saturday (3pm), before visiting Chinnor Reserves next Tuesday (7.45pm).
